How To Make a Statement With Your Child’s Wardrobe This Fall

Finally Northern California got some rain and entered into the loveliest of all seasons Fall! Sure I love Halloween, pumpkins, pumpkin spice late’s, pumpkin candles, pumpkin everything! But I also have been looking forward to the cooler weather so that I could bust out the jean jeggings, sassy teeshirts and hats for my daughter. Dressing for warmer weather is challenging when you are trying to be practical with an infant. I lean towards graphic body suits and sweats or leggings or a sweater and legging combo to make diaper changing easier to manage.

Okay let’s get real she has her moments so at times the outfit might be the thing that is “perfect.”

My poor daughter. She was born with a theme of gold polka dots and boy do I run with that theme! One of my favorite go-to outfits for Fall is a cute pair of embellished leggings, a sassy shirt and bow to top it off. It’s the perfect thing to have your infant in while running errands, on a stroll to the park or for rolling around in the living room.

Normally I try not to dress myself or my daughter in pieces that are from the same place or from the same store or clothing line. I am also a smart shopper that compares prices. whenever I am buying Carter’s I compare the Macy’s prices to Carter’s store prices. Sometimes you can score a better deal at Macy’s. It also makes things more interesting when you can mix and match. However, this outfit all came from Carter’s (shoe’s not included). Carter’s has a tendency to sell outfits that come in pairings of leggings, shirt, jacket. Buy a couple of the sets but get creative and see what type of statement you can make! This faux fur vest is a great statement piece that really makes this outfit look original and far more expensive than it’s $20 price tag.

Most places in the country it was already snowing or close to freezing temperatures when the calendar noted it was indeed Fall. It took a while for Fall to happen where I live so I choose to make the best of it and buy a great mustard colored jumper for Ava to wear to a party. When paired with these platinum shoes and head wrap she made quite the fashion statement. It really is true that shoes make an outfit but when it comes to baby girls the hair (or head) accessories do too! I steer away from really large head bows that swallow babies head. I love a great bow, cap or turban not only do they top off an outfit but they keep babies head warm.
