IKEA Latt Hack

One of the things that I have enjoyed about watching my daughter grow up is all of the transitions that she goes through. To help her with those transitions I pull from my Montessori background and try to create an environment in our home where she can become more independent and where she is free to explore. It also doesn’t hurt that there are so many fun DIYs that I have added to my todo list. One that I have been dying to do is customizing the ikea Latt table.

The price point for this table and 2 chairs starts at a super affordable $24.99. I then went to Hobby Lobby and picked out half a yard of heavy printed canvas for $5 and two small foam cushions at $1.99 each. I had a staple gun and white chalk paint so that brought this project to around $35.

I love a good arrow fabric!

I used washi tape to create the straight lines on the legs of the table and chairs. So easy!
I was a little affraid at this price point that the furniture would be a little janky, but it is pretty sturdy. The canvas was easy to stable to the seat bottoms, and me and my daughter are both happy with the results.

I can not wait for her to sit and eat at this cute set. She is already holding onto the table and playing with her toys on it.
